Red Wine by Marques de Riscal from Spain. Red with a pale purplish-violet hue which is darker at the heart of the bulb and red at the rim. Aroma of fresh fruit mingling with the subtle fragrance of the oak. On the palate, the general sensation is of smoothness, evolving gently towards the back of the palate with a moderately sharp bite and, below the tongue, this same sensation is combined with caramel.

The name, Les Deux Rives, refers to the twin banks of the Canal du Midi built in 1600 by Louis XIV to help develop the economy of southern France and was one of the most important routes for transporting wines of the Languedoc-Roussillon to northern France, greater Europe and beyond. The label is inspired by a 1920s postcard of the Canal.
