Col Di Sasso, which translates to Stony Hill, is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes cultivated on the most rocky and impervious slopes of the Banfi estate in Montalcino, Tuscany. Typically harvested in early October, each grape variety is vinified separately. The Sangiovese imparts body, while stainless steel aged Cabernet Sauvignon adds fruit and structure. Col Di Sasso is a youthful red to be enjoyed with grilled or roasted meats, poultry, or as an ideal accompaniment to pasta with meat sauce and mildly piquant cheeses.

Red Wine by Columbia Crest from Columbia Valley, Washington. The Two Vines Shiraz features New World-style, ripe, jammy fruitiness blended from varieties traditional in the Rhone Valley. Red Wine by Almira from Spain. 93% Garnacha, 7% Syrah From slopes on the edge of the Sierra Iberica, just south of Navarra where Garnacha is king, this special cuvee blends 7% Syrah with rich Grenache produced from vines of 35 to 50 years of age. The resultant wine exhibits an elegance rarely encountered in the wines from this DO. Fermentation is classical, with no carbonic maceration. Aging is wholly in stainless steel. The wine is immediately aromatic, full and friendly on the palate and finishes with a refined length. It is composed of 93% Garnacha and 7% Syrah and sees no oak. This dark ruby-colored wine offers plenty of ripe raspberry fruit with a hint of mineral on the nose and palate. It has surprising depth and length for its humble price making it a Best Buy. Red Wine by Columbia Crest from Columbia Valley, Washington. The Two Vines Shiraz is crafted in the ripe, jammy fruit-forward style of New World Shiraz. Black cherry is evident in the aromatics and on the palate. The fruit is threaded with subtle white pepper and chocolate nuances. The wine offers a full mouth feel and supple, lingering finish.

The 2004 harvest was characterized by smaller berry and cluster size, with intense flavors, good sugar development and high natural acidity. This minimally oaked Cabernet Sauvignon offers fruit-forward aromas and flavors of slight cherry and blueberry throughout.
