Red Wine by Felipe Rutini from Argentina, South America. The grapes are sourced from the Tupungato region of Mendoza, high in the Andes Mountains, at an elevation of 3,000 to 5,000 feet above sea-level. With its unique microclimate, Tupungato produces fruit with exceptional fruit and structure. The vineyards experience a range of temperature between daytime highs and night time lows. The warm sunny days allow for maximum radiation resulting in complex flavors and aromas. The cool night allow for an extended hang-time on the vines ensuring good balance of acidity. Aging takes place for 15 months in 100% new French oak. This blend of 53% Malbec and 47% Merlot is a full-bodied red with red fruit aromas of plums, cherries and strawberries, accompanied by vanilla, chocolate and tobacco. This well-structured wine is complex and fruity and will age well.

Red Wine by Archipel from Sonoma County, California. Archipel is the French word for Archipelago, an string of islands rising above the sea, and that meaning is carried over to the sourcing of fruit for the new Archipel wine, a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. For this limited production wine, world acclaimed winemaker Pierre Seillan selected only those mountain peak vineyards in Napa and Sonoma that, on a foggy morning, sit above the clouds like a archipelago island sits upon the misty sea. This wine is the essence of California Mountain fruit expressed with French undertones, epitomizing modern sophistication, both in it's mountain structure supporting a vibrant fruit profile, as well as it's contemporary image which appeals to those intrigued by unique wines and progressive thinking. Vibrant black fruit with floral and spice notes. Rich, round, and full bodied.

Red Wine by Philip Shaw from Australia. Deep red in colour with purple strings. The nose displays vibrant floral perfume aromas with an underlying richness of dark chocolate and mulberry. Dark summer cherry and redcurrant flavors with a hint of cigar box. All are integrated with soft but firm tannins for a complex and complete finish. No.17 is drinking well now with excellent depth of berry fruit, elegance and power. It will also age well for up to 15 years. Blend: 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. By adding together the plot numbers (2, 3, 5, and 7) from which the fruit for the first vintage of this wine was sourced, you'll arrive at number 17. You'll also arrive at a wine that is greater than the sum of its parts. Merlot is a star in the Orange region, having near perfect berry set every year due to an elevation of more than 900 metres and high UV intensity.

Red Wine by Ch?teau Simard from St-Emilion, France - Bordeaux. Released commercially with at least ten years of bottle age, Chateau Simard is a fine and supple wine due to the combination of sandy, gravelly soils with rigorous grape selection. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel and concrete vats. Traditional racking and fining. Bottled at the chateau. Chateau Simard's classically elegant, refined style results not only from its fine vineyard location, but also from the number of years the wine spends in bottle. It is never released until a least a decade after the vintage date. The complexity and nuance of the fragrance, the gentleness and finesse of the flavors are immediately apparent. An equally good choice for beef, lamb, roast duck and composed dishes like risotto. The perfect accompaniment to a wide range of cheeses.
