1 cent shipping through June 15th. Details at wine.comRed Wine by Hess from Napa Valley, California. The Hess Collection Mountain Cuvee is the premiere release of our proprietary blend of estate grown Bordeaux and Rhone varieties. This wine reflects the many different terroirs of our steep Mount Veeder slopes. After over a quarter of a century farming Mount Veeder we have discovered which varietals excel in each unique vineyard block with their varying altitudes, exposures, soil, and micro-climatic conditions. We were thus led to the Mountain Cuvee by listening to the mountain. A Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah blend, the wine is both powerful, yet elegant. The lifted aroma profile of floral notes, red cherry, vanilla, spice and cedar is followed by a second layer of black licorice, wild berry, and pepper. These aromas follow through in the flavors of bright red fruit, spice and a fleshy round palate integrated with French oak and a satin finish. Enjoy this new release - a true expression of wine from mountain vineyards. Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Syrah, 14% Merlot, 6% Malbec, 4% Cabernet Franc

Red Wine by Turnbull from Napa Valley, California. Blend: 70% Merlot, 11% Tempranillo, 7% Petite Sirah, 5% Syrah, 4% Sangiovese, 3% Barbera Released just in the time for those summer barbeques. This wine has a berry fruity aroma with vanilla and oak nuances. It is really straight forward and easy to drink. Nice and fruity, slightly tannic on entry but ends with a nice chewy, not drying finish. If you consider this Old Bull is young for its age (not quite nouveau), you'll be impressed by its drinkability. Who says you can't teach an Old Bull new tricks??

Red Wine by Ridge from Sonoma County, California. 80% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, 5% Carignane, 5% Grenache Three Valleys is the proprietary name for the only Ridge wine blended from multiple vineyard sites. They select softer, more accessible lots from their single vineyards and, taking the role of winemaker literally, create a character they find most appealing. Younger vines from Lytton Estate provided most of the fruit; older vines on five small Alexander Valley vineyards and one Russian River vineyard make up the rest. The grapes fermented on their own yeasts in small-capacity tanks. Pressed, on average, by the seventh day, they completed a natural malolactic fermentation. The wine was then racked to american oak barrels, whose staves had been air (not kiln) dried for twenty-four months. Ridge blind-tasted all the lots in spring, creating this elegant blend. Their sixth vintage of Three Valleys contains the highest percentage of Zinfandel to date. Sensuous structure and rich fruit give the wine immediate appeal; it will be most enjoyable over the next five years.

Red Wine by Ridge from Sonoma County, California. Three Valleys is the Ridge proprietary name for its only wine blended from multiple vineyard sites. To make it, we select softer, more accessible lots from our single vineyards, combining them to create the character we think will be most appealing. Younger vines on the Lytton Springs Vineyards in Dry Creek Valley provided roughly half the fruit; a third came from Geyserville, Mazzoni, and Stone Ranch Vineyards in Alexander Valley; the balance is from Pagani Ranch in the cool Sonoma Valley. The wines fermented on their natural yeasts, were pressed, on average, after eight days, and finished a natural (uninoculated) malolactic within four weeks. Enjoyable now, this spicy, beautifully-defined zinfandel blend will develop fully over the next four or five years. 68% zinfandel, 11% carignane, 10% syrah, 7% petite sirah, 4% grenache

Red Wine by Cline from Sonoma County, California. Carignane holds the distinction of being one of the most widely planted red grapes in France. It is also grown abundantly in Italy, Spain, Algeria and Israel and was once the most planted varietal in the new world. It has traditionally been used as a blending grape because of its favorable yields, excellent acidity and big tannins. Cline Cellars is one of a few wineries to vinify this varietal. Dark ruby in color, the 2006 Ancient Vines Carignane offers aromas of plum, chocolate and clove. The old vine elicits a taste of typical Oakley terroir, a dusty, dark cherry fruit and a nice bright acidity. It's a perfect match for grilled meats, pasta dishes, even pizza with goat cheese.

Red Wine by Folie a Deux from California. Menage ? Trois Red brings together three strange bedfellows: Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. To add complexity and retain character, each variety was fermented separately, then blended together prior to bottling. On top there's Zinfandel, a saucy tease that brings blackberry and raspberry jam to the relationship. Merlot, with its generous mouth feel and red fruits, fits perfectly in the middle. The rich flavors and firm tannins of Cabernet Sauvignon make it the ideal candidate for the bottom layer of the trio. The 2006 Menage ? Trois Red exposes the fresh, ripe, jam like fruit that is the calling card of California wine. Forward, silky and soft, this delicious dalliance makes the perfect accompaniment for grilled meats or chicken.

1 cent shipping through June 15th. Details at wine.comRed Wine by Big House from Central Coast, California. Another break-out hit for the recidivist partisans of this eclectic pan-Mediterranean blend. The varietal mix was altered just a tad this year and introduced a substantial amount of cabernet franc into the concoction. Big House Red is all about fragrance, spice and soft tannins. It has a fragrance of mint and garrigue, with insinuations of blackberry and the ubiquitous framboise. Not a wine that you would want to serve to the Queen (in virtue of its unregenerate rusticity), it is nevertheless a wine that is the perfect complement to barbecue, pasta, pizza and all of the major non-vegan groups. ...It's really good, and proves that Randall Grahm continues to march to his own beat... -Wine Enthusiast

Red Wine by Ten Mile from North Coast, California. 64% Petite Sirah, 18% Zinfandel, 8% Barbera, 8% Malbec, 2% Carignane Our inspiration for this wine was based upon the classic field blends of California from the late 1800's. Sourced from several dry farmed, old vine vineyards, The Broken Road is a blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Barbera, Malbec and Carignane. Dark purple hues with brooding aromas of pepper and black raspberry tea dominate the nose. Deep black fruits are well displayed on the palate in a medium bodied, supple style while the nicely structured acidity ensures a multitude of dimension you don't often find in wines of this price.
