Red Wine by Tempus Alba from Argentina, South America. 100% Malbec Aromas of strawberries, coffee, caramel, vanilla, and plum. Very rich, big fleshy mouth feel with a long finish.

Red Wine by Altocedro from Argentina, South America. Blend: 85% Malbec, 15% Tempranillo Aged for 6 months in oak. Deep purple color, sweet tannins, aromas of red fruit, spice, and flowers. A huge extraction and a long silky finish.

Red Wine by Laurel Glen from Chile, South America. Harvested from ancient vines on the slopes of the Andes Mountains, comes Terra Rosa Malbec: a glass-staining wine with a lovely and exotically perfumed nose. It has a rich, deep, and hauntingly elegant mouthfeel with a ripe blueberry character and a sensuous smokiness. Taste it: you might expect a massive, bold wine, but it is surprisingly lilting on the palate. It's not larded up with oak, although it has been raised in barrels for eighteen months to provide its frame and to round it out. The finish is long, with pure fruit flavors.

In these areas, the grapes develop sweet tannins, intense fruit and good acidity/sugar balance, combining the characteristics of each area. Red purple color. Intense black fruits and red plum aromas. Smooth and concentrated tannins in the mouth.

Color: Deep crimson with sharp candy red highlights Aroma: Upon swirling, jazzy notes of blackberries and sour cherries develop into fine traces of smoke and spices. Palate: Bright and generous, a lively mouthful of ripened plums and boysenberry, with chewy tannins and a violet scent building up to a refreshing finish.

This one, however, seems to channel more of the area's cool nights in its subtle, spicy flavor. It's elegant and light, with strawberry and cherry flavors supported by firm tannins. A fully, fruity wine, with excellent body, intense tannins, flavors of cherry, blackberry, boysenberry and plum intermingled with hints of cardamom and pepper, and a long, full finish.
