Red Wine by Pedestal from Columbia Valley, Washington. Michel Rolland, Pomerol vintner and consultant to many of the world's most famous wineries, partners with Washington State wine pioneer Allen Shoup to produce the third vintage of this limited release wine. Dark cherry and blackberry aromas complement an appealing hint of toasty oak in this dense, deeply concentrated Merlot. Rich at entry, with added intensity on the mid-palate, the finish provides a lingering impression of layered black fruit.

Red Wine by L'Ecole 41 from Columbia Valley, Washington. Rich and spicy, with aromatic aromas of nutmeg, clove and cinnamon, this Merlot shows ripe black plum, blackberry and dark flavors encased in a peppery, chocolate, black cherry finish.

Red Wine by Seven Hills from Walla Walla Valley, Washington. 83% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, sourced primarily from the esteemed old blocks of Seven Hills Vineyard. A ripe, food-friendly Merlot exhibitng a broad array of flavors and aromas - toffee, violets, herb and vanilla accent ripe red and black fruit, with generous depth and length.

Red Wine by Ch. Ste. Michelle from Columbia Valley, Washington. Washington is well-known for its mouthwatering Merlot, and this velvety single vineyard wine from a great vintage will show you why! An incredible value, this richly aromatic wine suggests raspberry and blueberry distinguished by loads of appealing toasty cinnamon spice, vanilla, and a hint of orange zest. Deep plummy fruit flavors are remarkably well developed, balanced by ample tannins. There's an intriguing hint of black pepper in the long full finish. Ste. Michelle has performed well with its half of the Canoe Ridge vineyard, which faces the Columbia River just past the eastern end of the gorge. This vintage is ripe, supple and distinctive for the bay leaf and olive character running through the black cherry and roasted meat flavors, finishing with fine, firm tannins. Red Wine by Columbia Winery from Yakima Valley, Washington. Bright ruby red with good depth. Vibrant cherry fruit complemented by a touch of spicy oak and cigar-box flavors. Full bodied, full flavored and robust with a velvety texture. This Merlot will be a great complement to steaks, lamb or pasta with red sauce. The most celebrated red wine vineyard in Washington, Red Willow lies in the remote northwestern of the Yakima Valley Appellation. Mt.Adams' 12,000-foot peak and the Cascade foothills rise to the west. There are no other vineyards within 20 miles.

Red Wine by Gordon Brothers from Columbia Valley, Washington. The bright garnet color of this wine lends instant appeal. A rich, toasty oak, combined with lush, concentrated dark cherry and berry aromas greet the nose. Flavors of chocolate, spice and plum linger on the palate. This bold Merlot has a rich, well-balanced mouth-feel, and a wonderful smooth finish. This is a great wine to pair with your favorite grilled meats and a Bolognese pasta sauce.

Vinification: The 2004 Nelms Road Merlot was produced from grapes grown at younger vineyards, several declassified lots of wine, and a significant amount of press wine. This continued program of declassification in both the vineyard and on the winemaking side has allowed us to create such attractive and affordable Nelms Road wines.Description: The 2004 vintage was another very warm one for Washington State and this 2004 Merlot reflects that. This wine offers beautifully ripe fruit with flavors of dried ripe cherries and subtle aromas of spice, cut leaf tobacco, mocha, and vanilla. The texture is soft and silky and the finish is generous and long.This red wine would be fantastic with wood-fired pizza! While there is ample fruit to age this wine for several years or more it has been produced to enjoy young. With proper storage this wine should age for three to five years.

Red Wine by Barnard Griffin from Columbia Valley, Washington. This 2005 vintage Merlot is a worthy successor to the award winning 2004. Aromas of black cherries and red currants dominate the nose. There is a good dose of medium toasted European oak barrels. One can see a great vintage in the 2005 with moderate tannins and good acid. This wine is drinking well now and has some punch worthy of 5-8 years of aging.

Blend: 77% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Syrah, 2% Sangiovese This is a lush and fleshy Merlot loaded with jammy, blackberry flavors that are characteristic of warm climate Wahluke Slope fruit. Red Wine by Canoe Ridge from Columbia Valley, Washington. The fruit for the 2004 Canoe Ridge Merlot was fermented in many small lots, allowing us each lot to be treated as a unique expression of the vineyard. By using a variety of fermentation practices and yeast strains, Canoe Ridge created individual components that were carefully pieced together for the final blend. They used a minimum of fining and filtration, and aged the wine for 15 months in a variety of oak barrels. This is a soft and elegant wine. On the palate, vanilla and toffee notes mingle with lush flavors of cherry and blackberry. The wine is round and velvety, with very subtle tannins and a pleasing finish. Enjoy this easy-to-drink wine with everything from roast chicken to spinach and mushroom lasagna to the perfect hamburger.

Red Wine by Ch. Ste. Michelle from Columbia Valley, Washington. Inviting aromas of mocha and ripe raspberry are accented by a nutty toastiness and the suggestion of cinnamon. On the palate, this Merlot offers more juicy raspberry, coupled with supple, firm tannins and a lengthy finish.
