Hermitage
Red Wine by Jean-Luc Colombo from Hermitage, France - Rhone. Bouquet: The aromas are intense, reminiscent of blackberries and licorice, supported by notes of black pepper. Taste: The beautiful 2005 vintage resulted in the presence of especially southern accents - jammy fruits, such as ripe plum and fig - a silky texture and glossy finish. This is a generous, well-structured wine that can be enjoyed on release and for another four or five years after. Serving suggestions: Perfect with red meats, hearty pasta dishes and aged cheeses.

Red Wine by Jaboulet from Hermitage, France - Rhone. Dark red with a bright rim. Smoky, meaty and wild on the nose, with notes of violet, rose and woodsmoke. The fruit is very shy today but there is already a lush texture and considerable sweetness. Seems rather dense and extractive, with notes of plum and blackberry emerging as the wine opens in the glass.
