Ribera del Duero
Red Wine by Emilio Moro from Ribera del Duero, Spain. The 2005 Emilio Moro is purple-colored with a complex bouquet of wood smoke, toast, crushed stone, and blackberry. Supple, ripe, and forward, this tasty wine will evolve for 1-2 years but can be enjoyed now through 2015. Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate 92 Points Deep red. Seductive cherry and mocha aromas are complicated by vanilla, anise and fresh rose. Fat and deep in dark fruit flavors, with gentle tannins and a bitter chocolate quality. Tightens up on the finish, which is impressively delineated, long and gripping. Air this out or age it. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar 90 Points

Red Wine by Bodegas Conde from Ribera del Duero, Spain. Number 67 on the Wine.com 100 of 2007! This beautiful 100% Tempranillo is from vineyards in Ribera del Duero that are over 50 years old. Aged for 10 months in oak barrels, it is bottled with minimal intervention. The result - an incredible Tempranillo, darkly colored and richly perfumed with cedar, spice box, blueberry, plum and cherry notes. Fresh and spicy, with juicy dark fruit flavors, mineral and a touch of vanilla on the finish. Could be cellared for 10+ years, but really rich and tasty right now. The 2005 Neo Sentido is similarly styled but more layered and richer than the 2004. It should have a slighter longer lifeline than its older sibling. -Wine Advocate Wine Advocate note on 2004 vintage: The 2004 Neo Sentido is 100% Tempranillo aged for 6 months in a mix of new and used French and American oak. Dark ruby-colored, it has an attractive perfume of cedar, vanilla, mineral, blueberry, and blackberry jam. Firmly structured, with good depth and concentration, this tasty wine can be cellared for several years but is rich enough to drink now through 2015. -Wine Advocate 90 Points Inky violet. Deeply scented nose displays powerful cassis and blueberry, along with subtle floral qualities. Graceful, finely etched dark berry flavors deliver impressive purity and length. Finishes sweet and virtually tannin-free. This is drinking extremely well already. -International Wine Cellar

Red Wine by Vina Gormaz from Ribera del Duero, Spain. The early 2006 harvest resulted in a deeply-colored, intense young wine that should prove to be a worthy successor to the superb 2004 and 2005 vintages. Deep wild berry aromas and mouth filling flavor and length are provided by the old Tempranillo vines. Tannins are ample but balanced by textural richness and juicy fruit. Dark purple. Primary dark berry aromas are complicated by musky earth and dark chocolate. Tarry cherry and cassis flavors are gently tannic and finish sweet. Straightforward, ready to drink and tasty. A great buy, too. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar 88 Points
