Ros? Wine by Tablas Creek from Central Coast, California. Blend: 60% Mourvedre, 28% Grenache, 12% Counoise The Tablas Creek Vineyard Rose 2006 is a blend of three estate-grown varietals, propagated from budwood cuttings from the Chateau de Beaucastel estate. The blend is traditional of the southern Rhone, though the blend of grapes is predominantly Mourvedre, and therefore more like the solid, dry roses of Bandol than the lighter Grenache-based Tavel. The 2006 Rose is rich, ripe, and full of spice and fruit. It has aromatics of sage and juniper, as well as white plum and watermelon, flavors of ripe strawberries, fresh acidity and a lingering finish. Pair it with Mediterranean cuisine, Spanish tapas, preparations with garlic and olive oil...or just enjoy it outside on a sunny day.

Ros? Wine by Big House from Central Coast, California. Varieties In Blend: 36% Sangiovese, 25% Barbera, 12% Zinfandel, 11% Carignane, 5% Mourvedre. Less than 5%: Viognier, Petite Verdot, Nebbiolo, Freisa, Aglianico, Cabernet Franc, Charbono, Chenin Blanc, Cinsault, Grenache. The Big House wines were born of notion that the California climate is quite hospitable to the rollicking, sun loving grapes of Mediterranean France, Italy and Spain. By blending, rather than relying upon a single variety, Big House has created a complex, rich wine that elegantly matches a very wide variety of cuisine, from a large stack of pizzas, to BBQ ribs to roast chicken. The Big House Pink delivers a tremendous nose of a mixed red fruits, watermelon, cranberry, guava, raspberry and peach. Racy aromas and flavors of spicy cherry and vanilla.
