White Wine by St. Supery from Napa Valley, California. Blend: 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Semillon Wonderful aromas of honeysuckle, citrus blossoms and melon show up quickly in the aroma. They are soon married with barrel scents of toast and vanilla to create an intoxicating fragrance. On the palate are flavors of pear and peach from the Sauvignon Blanc while creme and lemon meringue come from the Semillon. With the blend of these two classic varietals this wine will age beautifully for years to come becoming even more complex.

White Wine by Flora Springs from Napa Valley, California. Soliloquy is a most unusual wine. Its basis is the old Sauvignon Blanc vines that give it its unique character that is reminiscent of a garden of honeysuckle, peaches and spicy fruit. We have planted the Sauvignon Musque\\xA0\\xA3lone in the vineyard in anticipation of the decline of our old vines. Sauvignon Musque\\xA0\\xA5xhibits many of the same characteristics of the old Soliloquy vines but has the bonus of more power. My philosophy with Soliloquy is to deal with it as gently as possible. This means that I do not use any small barrels. Instead, I rely on sur lies aging to round out the wine and give it a silky mouthfeel.

White Wine by Ch?teau Paradis Casseuil from Bordeaux, France - Bordeaux. The color is straw yellow with hints of gold. Clear and bright. The nose is delicate and aromatic. On the palate the wine is pleasing and silky, with fruit aromas much in evidence, very lively and a long, fresh and aromatic finish.

White Wine by Leeuwin Estate from Margaret River, Australia. The Siblings label was launched with Leeuwin's first Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and represents wines intended for fresh early drinking. As a family business, this label celebrates the role the second generation has played in the ongoing development of Leeuwin Estate. The color is fresh vibrant pale straw with lime green edges. Fresh fruit flavors are dominated by Sauvignon Blanc characters of freshly cut grass, tropical fruit, passionfruit and spice. The clean and fresh palate is full bodied and luscious with soft sweet fruit and herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc flavors. The finish is well balanced and clean with a lingering taste of gooseberries.

White Wine by Domaines Baron Rothschild from Bordeaux, France - Bordeaux. Blend: 60% Semillon, 40% Sauvignon Blanc Bright, pale straw-yellow. The nose is intense and elegant, with good aromatic complexity (white flowers and citrus fruit, mineral notes). The palate has a good balance between body and liveliness, aromas of fresh fruit and a long finish. This is a wine for pleasure, intense and easydrinking.

White Wine by Beringer from Sonoma County, California. The 2006 Alluvium Blanc is predominantly Semillion (47%) and Sauvignon Blanc (43%) with small amounts of Chardonnay (8%) and Viognier (2%). All of the Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon lots were barrel fermented in French Nevers oak and stirred on the lees twice a month during barrel aging because Laurie wanted a round, lush mouthfeel in the wine and vanilla, nutty-toasty oak aromas and flavors. Nearly all of the wine was aged in new and once used French oak (1/3 new) for eight months in an effort to create a good balance between the fruit flavors and oak nuances. The wines underwent malolactic fermentation (90%) to bring a creaminess that balances the crisp acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc. After nine months aging, Laurie blended in the Chardonnay to add structure and lushness, along with Viognier to enhance the honeysuckle aromas. The proprietary Alluvium name pays homage to the alluvial soils of Knights Valley. We select the best blend of white varietals from vintage to vintage. For the 2006 Alluvium Blanc, bright citrus, nectarine and melon aromas lead into a mouthcoating creaminess balanced by bright fruit characteristics with hints of toasty oak, honey and lemon zest. This wine reminds me of a fig tart with just a touch of sweetness. -Laurie Hook, Winemaker

White Wine by Primo Estate from South Australia, Australia. La Biondina is the Italian term for The Young Blonde, and this distinctive white wine is certainly youthful and vibrant and light blond in color. Beautiful aromas of citrus, peach, passionfruit, apple blossom and more, jump out of the glass. It tastes just delicious, with wonderfully intense yet delicate fruit flavors tantalizing the senses. The secret to the wines magic is its most unusual composition. Joe and Dina Grilli make this wine from predominantly Colombard with just a hint of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. This is enjoyment in a glass.

White Wine by Nepenthe from South Australia, Australia. The 2006 Tryst White is a fresh, approachable wine from the heart of the cool, pristine Adelaide Hills. The blend is made up predominantly of fragrant, crisp Sauvignon Blanc balanced by finely structured, elegant Semillon. While these two varieties receive much of the regard, the heart of the blend is the vital splash of Pinot Gris, contributing an extra dimension of texture, spice and depth. This depth greatly increases the potential range of food matches. The 2006 Tryst White is a perfect accompaniment to fresh seafood, Caesar Salad or Vietnamese cold rolls.

White Wine by Ch?teau Saint-Florin from Bordeaux, France - Bordeaux. Robe of light straw yellow. Intense, complex nose with notes of green limes, black currants, and box-tree. Slight hint of musk. The palate is marked by Sauvignon Blanc's typical fruitiness. Well-balanced and highly perfumed with flavors of black currants. A dry clean fresh finish of green tones.

White Wine by St. Hallett from Barossa Valley, Australia. The Poacher's Blend is a classic Australian medium dry white made for immediate enjoyment. Blended from Chenin Blanc, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes picked in the cool of night it is a crisp, clean wine that is an easy drinking delight. Full flavored with lifted tropical, lime and citrus flavors St. Hallett has created this wine to marry with the freshwater crustaceans and fish that are regularly poached from the creeks and waterways of landowners in the country and believed to be a legitimate, heritage pastime in Australia. Alternately as an aperitif, or with a variety of fish and seafoods the Poacher's Blend is a bright enticing mouthful of Barossa flavor.

White Wine by Domaine d'UBY from Bordeaux, France - Bordeaux. A fruity wine with flavors of both exotic and citrus fruits. Fresh reminiscent characters like Sauvignon Blanc with a fruiter, softer edge. Highly aromatic with a soft palate with a slight nutty character. A delicious wine for appetizers, fresh salads and seafood. The blend consists of two local varietals; Colombard (50%) and Ugni Blanc (50%) with average vines over 20 years.
