White Wine by Hugel from Alsace, France - regions. The wine is a bright, pale yellow green color. With expressive spring flower aromas, the wine shows a clean, lively, refreshing character on the palate that is very easy to drink. This youthful wine should be served chilled at 8?C to appreciate its refreshing, dry and attractive character, as a fine aperitif or with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish or hors d'oeuvres.

White Wine by Poet's Leap from Columbia Valley, Washington. The only white wine in the portfolio is the 2005 Poet's Leap Riesling made by Armin Diel of the renowned Schlossgut Diel in the Nahe River Valley of Germany. This splendid Riesling is light straw-colored with green highlights. It delivers a complex perfume of slate, mineral, a hint of petrol, spring flowers, honey, and green apple. Made in a Spatlese style, with just a touch of sweetness, the wine offers mouth-filling fruit, crisp acidity, and a long, pure finish. Drink it over the next several years with Asian cuisine or as an aperitif. Poet's Leap has no track record for longevity but this wine could well evolve in the manner of its German role model for those willing to set aside a few bottles. Long Shadows is a winery begun by Alan Shoup, the long-time CEO of Stimson Lane and Chateau Ste.-Michelle. It is a consortium of seven different brands (labels), each with its own star winemaker who has a 25% share in the brand. The concept is that each ?is dedicated to producing a single Columbia Valley wine representing a 'best of type' that reflects the winemaker's signature style.

White Wine by Poet's Leap from Columbia Valley, Washington. Armin Diel, of Schlossgut Diel and wine writing fame, is at the helm of Poet's Leap, a Long Shadows consortium winery. The 2004 Riesling is an excellent off-dry (19.3 grams of residual sugar per liter) white with lovely linden blossom and spice aromas. Sweet minerals, slight notes of honey, melon, and pear are found in this spicy effort's core. Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate 89 Points

White Wine by Poet's Leap from Columbia Valley, Washington. Inspired by the greatest wines of Germany and crafted by Armin Diel, proprietor of the renowned Schlossgut Diel. Balanced and focused, the 2006 Poet's Leap is a fresh, inviting wine offering heady aromatics of ripe pear, melon and honey. Crisp and flavorful on the palate, the vibrant acidity is balanced by a delicate sweetness that lingers across a long, clean finish.

White Wine by Petaluma from Clare Valley, Australia. Clare Valley arguably produces Australia's best Riesling and Petaluma's Hanlin Hill Vineyard provides the fruit for Petaluma Riesling, recognized in Australia as the best of this traditional dry style. Clare lies in a valley in the northern extension of the Adelaide Hills, 90 miles (145km) from Adelaide. The geology of the Hanlin Hill Vineyard is Mintaro shale, deposited as shallow marine sediments between 550 and 600 million years ago, and metamorphosed into high quality grey slate, which has weathered to form well draining, brown to red-brown clay rich soils. Crisp in texture and generous in flavour, a seductive mouthful of Bosc pear, white peach, lime and green tea flavours, lingering on the polished finish. White Wine by Trimbach from Alsace, France - regions. Bright, with green edges and a developed nose, the wine shows a hint of mineral flavor, which is associated with perfect ripeness. Flavors of white peach, quince and lemon on the palate with a lingering, clean and dry finish. Riesling is at its best with marinated, grilled, or sauced fish, and sushi. Very good with traditional Alsace dishes like onion tarte, choucroute, and pork.

White Wine by Hogue from Columbia Valley, Washington. Every year some of The Hogue Cellars' finest Riesling vineyards stand head and shoulders above the rest. They chose several of these vineyard blocks, earmarked them for Genesis and picked them at the optimal ripeness. What resulted is a beautifully balanced, intense Riesling. Rich and crisp, the wine has aromas and flavors of orange, grapefruit zest, peach and lush pineapple. The balance between its racy acidity and moderate sweetness makes the Genesis Riesling wonderful as an aperitif or a delicious complement to spicy Southeast Asian dishes such as chicken satay.

White Wine by Jim Barry from Clare Valley, Australia. This wine is pale straw in color, with lovely lemon and grapefruit citrus aromas. The palate is dry, revealing flinty lemon citrus, with floral orange blossom notes - quite austere and steely - with a zesty finish. A wine to be enjoyed now or after it has aged gracefully. Ideal to consume with chicken and seafood dishes.

White Wine by Von Kesselstatt from Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, Germany. In 1999, Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt celebrated its 650th anniversary. The goal is to produce Riesling wines that reflect the influence of each site's terroir - while maintaining the fruit and aroma of the grapes - to bring forth the characteristics that make Riesling wines so unique. Taste Profile: Very lively and appealing Riesling - fragrance of white peach, apple and grapefruit wonderfully harmonizing to the fresh, minerally texture. Racy and juicy in taste, perfect balance of sweetness and acidity with a dry finish, underlined by a remarkable deal of slate.

White Wine by Pewsey Vale from Barossa Valley, Australia. Each individual block of grapes was picked at optimum ripeness exhibiting the classic ripe flavors gorgeous natural acid freshness evident in the Pewsey Vale Vineyard, Eden Valley. Timing could not have been more perfect as the rain and cold weather came in early April 2007 when the wines were safely tucked away in tank. The 2007 Pewsey Vale Riesling is a rich and intensely flavored wine, with classic fruit aromas of lemons and limes and a hint of overlaying dried herb. This wine shows great length, finishing with a soft but fresh natural acidity which balances the flavor intensity, and will reward with medium to longterm cellaring. Light, delicate and immensely appealing for its gentle lime, orange peel, peach and mineral aromas and flavors, lingering on the refined finish. Drink now through 2017. Wine Spectator 90 Points

White Wine by Stoneleigh from Marlborough, New Zealand. True to Stoneleigh style, this classic Riesling is elegant and well-balanced, capturing the essence of Marlborough, New Zealand's most acclaimed winemaking region. An off-dry, fruit-driven wine enjoyable while young and fresh, but will reward careful cellaring, to become an aged Riesling of outstanding complexity. Intense lime and floral aromas with underlying nectarine, orange blossom and white peach notes. Fresh and vibrant, intense stone fruit and lime characters dominate, with bursts of melon and citrus fruit, finishing with mouth-filling, crisp acidity and good length. Serve lightly chilled on its own or with delicate white meat and seafood dishes, salads and fruit.
