White Wine by Aura from Rueda, Spain. Aromas of fresh grass, reminders of ripe fruit (peach), tropical fruit and hints of aniseed. The wine has good volume, body and structure, with notable fruit sensations and grassy hints like those we felt on the nose and which are so typical of the Verdejo grape, and a long aftertaste accompanied by a nice touch of bitterness in the finish. Goes well with all kinds of fish, salads, pasta and white meat, and thanks to its good structure it can also be drunk with light red meat dishes.

White Wine by Serra da Estrela from Rias Baixas, Spain. From the region of Rias Baixas (bye-sahss) of Galicia in the westernmost corner of Spain comes this distinguished wine, considered to be one of the significant undiscovered white wines of the world. Rumored to be a descendant of the Riesling grape, and brought to Spain by German missionaries in the Middle Ages, Albarino is one of the few Spanish grape varieties produced as a varietal and indicated as such on labels. This wine expresses itself solely through the purity of its fruit, and is crafted in the highest caliber modern facility, ensuring a clean, crisp wine of integrity. A pale yellow-green wine made from 100% Albarino grapes with intense aromatic richness with hints of apricot complemented by lemon-lime vibrancy, perfectly blended together with a subtle floral accent. This is a rich and concentrated wine with a classic hint of quinine in the finish, making it a perfect match for Mediterranean dishes with green olives, garlic and capers. Only 6,600 cases were produced.

White Wine by Segura Viudas from Spain. Creu de Lavit (CRU-deh-la-VEET) is made exclusively from Xarel-lo (sha-REL-o), a native Penedes varietal and one of the white grapes used in the production of cava. Xarel-lo yields an aromatic wine with good body and medium acidity. Creu de Lavit uses all hand-harvested, estate-grown grapes from 30-45 year old vines. This is a perfect wine to serve as a summer aperitif in warm weather. It's inviting and refreshing with green apple and citrus fruit aromas with a touch of spice. In the mouth, the wine is bright and balanced with tangy grapefruit flavor cut by ripe pear and a hint of melon and white pepper. The finish is long and layered with a zesty and satisfying close. The brisk acidity of this wine makes it an excellent aperitif or to serve with a spicy southeastern Asian dish, such as grilled chicken with Thai chili sauce. It would also complement steamed mussels or clams in a garlic broth. Or serve this wine after or before dinner with your favorite blue cheese, perhaps a Cabrales from Spain.

White Wine by Val de Sil from Spain. One of the most exciting white wines available on the market today for the price. Fresh, bright, racy flavors of white peach and almonds. Unique and delicious - from 140 year old vines. The Prada family began to plant Godello in 1885 on old stone terraces high on the hillsides surrounding the river Sil, which cuts through the scenic valley of Valdeoras in Spain's northwest region of Galicia. In close proximity and therefore heavily influenced by the Atlantic's high levels of rainfall and relative humidity, the delicate terraces of crushed blue slate are organically cultivated with grass cover between rows to prevent erosion. Val de Sil owns significant parcels of the mineral rich Godello, including a remarkable 140 year old single vineyard that will find its way to only a few fortunate enthusiasts.
